South West Heritage Trust choose Xledger & Williams Woodward

South West Heritage Trust chose Williams Woodward to supply and implement the Xledger Cloud Accounting system for Charities & Not for Profits.

Xledger went live in just over 2 months as a result of hard work from the joint implementation team.

Following a stringent public tender process South West Heritage Trust selected Xledger partner Williams Woodward for the project. Their experience in the charity sector and their proven implementation methodology were key factors influencing their choice.

Previously part of Somerset County Council, the South West Heritage Trust was established as a separate charity with the purpose of providing a resilient future for the heritage services of both Somerset and Devon. As such the Trust required its own finance system to support the organisation. The experience and expertise of the Williams Woodward team, combined with the commitment of the South West Heritage Trust team, ensured that the project time frames could be met.

The South West Heritage Trust had no IT staff or existing infrastructure and wanted an intuitive and easy to use cloud based solution that was proven and secure but did not require in-house technical skills to support.

Xledger fulfilled all the above criteria, as well as having the ability to meet the statutory SORP & SOFA reporting requirements. The combination of Williams Woodward and Xledger proved to be a low risk and cost effective way forward for the Trust.
